but this is our team blog, and I just want to say a few things.
To Juniors:
We know the seniors were right when they talked to us at the end of the training about sacrifice. About the seniors and hockey players putting in the extra effort to come for training to train us. They deserve a little credit and the best way we can do that is to show and prove to them that their sacrifice isn't going to waste. How can we do that? You know.. if each individual, for each training, will herself to improve an area, even if it's bit by bit, it's still contributing something. And if you add everybody's effort up, we all improve AS A TEAM. I'm not asking for anybody to turn into a star-player overnight. Assess yourself, reflect. Think about your weakspots and think of a way to improve yourself on the court. For example, if during training games, you feel like you are weak in offense, read the manual, see what you're doing wrong and correct it. For every wrong we do, it's a chance to rebound and correct it. Just because you make a mistake, does not mean you have to give up on yourself. Giving up on yourself and being stubborn not to improve, is the same as giving up on the team. Everybody is pushing, push yourself to improve. This is a team sport, not individual. So i hope we all start to train better for future trainings. We are all in this together; to endure, to train and to suffer during trainings together :)
To Seniors:
I thank you all for your effort and sacrifices for the team. I hope you all can understand, too, that it is not everybody who are slacking. Some of us might be slower than the other, or weaker, or anything else that is not contributing. But it doesn't mean that all of us are not putting in the effort. About the whole slashing thing; i think it's because it was from the start that we chose to close one eye when we play games during training, that some of the players become used to it. It became a habit. I guess the way to counter this is for the player to try not to slash, and for us to not close our eyes during games. Because it's from the training games that we can tackle all our game play. Thanks for hearing this out :)
I'm sorry if this post offends anybody, but it's all out of good intention. I mean well, and i'm not here to demoralise. I hope we all can have better trainings, girls :)
